Women’s shirts in the archives sale

At Soeur, the shirt is a wardrobe foundation, worn several times a week without a second thought. It goes from a meeting to a Sunday in the city, slips into a suitcase for a weekend and takes on a new character with each outfit. The archives sale brings together women’s shirts from previous collections at reduced prices, including cuts that return season after season: from the oversized shirt with dropped shoulders to the more fitted shirt with a crisp collar, and the cotton Blouse with more delicate details.

A piece borrowed from menswear

The shirt embodies the open wardrobe Soeur has championed since its beginnings. Borrowed from menswear, it keeps its crisp collar, button placket and buttoned cuffs, but has a looser cut, with dropped shoulders and a length that allows it to be tucked into a wide-leg trousers or flowing. These proportions, more than the details, give it character and explain why a shirt from a past season still feels so natural to wear today.

Poplin, cotton, silk

The cotton poplin shirt remains the reference point. Its tightly woven, slightly lustrous fabric keeps a crisp drape even in a loose cut, and is easy to iron. More fluid silk shirts bring a dressier feel and sit naturally with wool trousers for dinner. Depending on the collection, the Archives also include striped shirts and styles in denim or in heavier cotton, closer to an overshirt. A cotton shirt softens with each wash, and often finds its best drape after a few months.

Three ways to wear an oversized shirt

Tucked into trousers and buttoned to the top, the oversized shirt creates a menswear-inspired silhouette suited to the office. Worn open over a T-shirt with the sleeves rolled up, it feels more relaxed for the weekend. Layered under a round-collar pullover with only the collar showing, it becomes a layering piece. The skirts from the archives sale offer another, more feminine direction, with a shirt tucked into a wallet skirt.
